I AM KENYAN PROJECT

The I AM KENYAN project is a global initiative that is Kenyan driven. It aims to promote peace and patriotism through the use of photography.
Background.
In 2007, tribal clashes arose in Kenya as a result of uncertain election results that led to enmities among different tribes.  This year  is also an election year and with an uncertain election date, unrest is quickly growing amongst Kenyans and there are worries that another bloody and gruesome  Post Election violence might break out again during this upcoming  elections at a larger scale than that of 2007.
Responding to this, is the I AM KENYAN PROJECT. This is a very simple project

that uses photography to tell the country that we are proud of being Kenya while promoting peace and unity. Being a victim of the 2007 violence, I want to do all that I can in y power to promote peace and stability in Kenya.
Activities
Individuals who are  willing to participate, will take a photo of themselves on a plain background with the words “

I AM KENYAN” written on their face making a funny, happy or silly face. These pictures will be blown to black and white 2mX3m posters that will be plastered on the wall opposite our parliament and other public walls in Nairobi and across the country. This will be done through a public city match that will be followed by a concert.
These pictures stand for peace in a diverse way. The I AM KENYAN PROJECT is not limited to Kenyans as it intends to show that each of us citizens of the world, is unique yet we stand together and live in peace even though not all of us are Kenyan. This is the perfect message to spread across the country before the elections so as to help Kenyans realize that they are one and not different.
By  one sending  their picture or participating  on the “I AM KENYAN” project, they are consenting to  the use  of their photo for the “I AM KENYAN ” project and the picture may be used, posted or displayed in websites, social media or publications that are aimed at promoting peace in Kenya.
