THE SHORTY CATHERINE SHAWA

TGIFF: Thank God it’s Fashion Friday…

Dar-es-salaam is one of the hottest cities in the world due to her proximity to the Indian Ocean. Many ladies here like to sport their shorts for outdoor events and even as they head out to the beach.

Back to Nairobi and with the rise in popularity of social events; and sporting events, fashionsitas seem to be raising not just the bar, but also the hemlines-scoring a style victory with the shorts.

§  Pair your shorts with funky accessories and a comfy t-shirt.

§  Convert your blouses and chiffons into crop tops; matching them with funky accessories and a comfortable pair of flats.

§  Branded team caps to shield you from the sun can go well with sheers tops.

§  It is time to get out your colored vests and pair them up with neutral colored bottoms like the black shorts.

§  To avoid wet and freezing; beware of the weather changes and try to predict ahead in order to have clothes that will comfortably blend in with the weather.

§  Avoid heels; so that you are not tired and remain comfortable during outdoor activities.

§  Avoid bright clothes when going for outdoor events as you are prone to dirt and dust.

§  And finally; avoid too tight clothes. Go with a well-fitting to allow for fun.
