Last week
Saturday and all roads led to the Carnivore Grounds Nairobi for the annual
Naija Night party.
The day was
marked by fun; dancing and a great time with performances by Nigeria’s Burnaboy,
Klint the Drunk, Ghana’s Atumpan and Kus Ma of Camp Mulla.
With the
night emcees being Kiss 100’s Shaffie Weru and hype man DNG; the show was set
to be a high voltage one from the start despite technical hitches. The event
was marred by few mishaps from beginning two hours late to getting sound check
done by 7pm.
Kenya’s
R&B diva Mercy Myra lived up to her billing and to the hype performing all
her popular hits like Tie Dero and I’m Gonna Fly.
It was a
huge disappointment for Kenya’s Madtraxx fans as he failed to turn up for both
the sound check and the actual show.
The night
couldn’t end a notch higher as visiting Nigerian star Burnaboy was the
highlight of the annual fete. The act that shocked and got the audience on
their feet was Atumpan who is famed for the hit, “The Thing. The singer invited
eager female revelers on stage and got them gyrating provocatively to his
singles.
All in all
it was a fun night oooooh!!!!!Make a beg now…
