MDQ: MUTHONI DRUMMER QUEEN’S SELF-TITLE DEBUT ALBUM

ALBUM REVIEW

A week ago, versatile singer, composer and showbiz entrepreneur Muthoni Ndoga aka MDQ released her self-titled sold-out debut album-MDQ to equal fete only achieved by a few international super stars.

On Friday October 18th, she appeared on KTN for an interview and the release of her first song off the album, “Nai Ni Ya Who”. This was the first song in this game changer project to be released to the public.
This is the big deal on a girl drumming her way to stardom and being the founder and CEO of East Africa’s premier monthly social entertainment event- Blankets and Wine; it is business unusual.
She has brought back inspiration; teaming up with her Kenyan and international team to produce a masterpiece album.

The album; set to daze the international showbiz arena, has been bought by S.D.E ( Standard Digital Entertainment) for Kenyans all over to get it for absolutely…wait for it…yes, FREE of charge! (WWW.SDE.CO.KE)
Recorded in Switzerland; the ten-track album took an intense 16-days to fully record and master. The inspiration for the album came after Muthoni lost her much younger close relative.
The album is a perfect mix for those who like the light touch party hip hop music. The album is entirely a hip hop one, English in touch for that matter and so skewed towards local and international music lovers.
Every Tuesdays; Muthoni will hold GOOGLE HANGOUT to discuss the album and everything music. Do make a date; and don’t be late!

It will be great to see how the world will receive the Album and the idea behind it; being new and pioneered for the first time in Kenya.
THIS IS IT! THE GAME CHANGER!
