Wanted the glitz? You got it. The glamour,
lights, camera and action? It was there in abundance. Oh, last year, at a time
like this, the stars were aplenty. When one says the “Mr. and miss Daystar” is
one of the longest awaited Daystar University calendar events, they are not
just blowing smoke.
Set last year at the prestigious
Pride Inn Centre in Westlands and dubbed, ‘the Tipple B Awards’- Brilliance,
Brains and Beauty, this year’s event goes down at the same venue. The dates
have changed over time from 5th April to 12th and finally
after the many postponements to the 25th of April 2014.
The ceremony, held annually in the
January semester is everything anyone can wish for to honor the Nairobi Campus
finest.
Sure, the Edward wanyoike’s social
welfare and events committee dockets could use some lively strategies to
heighten up the event and hype it, but we will take the poor strategies. Although
there is need to keep the event lively and moving forward, or else, many
comrades will pull away and fail to support the event as we have seen this
semester with many calendar events.
But that would be asking for too much
for a show that is just two year old. So, to Edward and team, you have everyone’s
attention- and you can only fail if you want to!
