UP MAGAZINE THE UPSTAIRS EVENT GOES DOWN TONIGHT


The Upstairs is back! Join us on the 19th of March on the 4th Floor of Chester house, Koinange Street from 7pm for an evening of great live music.

Experimenting across genres and showcasing talented musicians the Upstairs is a monthly mid-week celebration of Nairobi’s best UP and coming live acts.


Singer-songwriter and Pianist Vereso is the New Kid on the Block. She has been described as Kenya’s very own Macy Gray.


KIU, is Swahili for thirst and subtly symbolizes the passion Pauline, Rosa and Tracy have and share for music. Influenced by the great female artists like Miriam Makeba, Asa, Tshala Mwana, and Mbilia Bel Kiu blend their silky harmonies with an edgy fusion of Afro-Pop and R&B. If their first single “the city” is anything to go by KIU is set for the stars!




Fena Musics "Urban Soul" sound fuses a variety of musical genres, from neo-soul to afro-soul, reggae, hip-hop and afro-house. With the singles “Africa Massive”, “Dutch” and “Brikicho”, under her belt, Fena is a great live act whose star is shining bright.
