#TheHeinekenMingle

The Nairobi social scene is so beautiful, full of life and buzz; especially when viewed in a kaleidoscope of color and sound. Nairobi indeed, has a multitude of faces and voices. The variety was clear this past Saturday, June 21st when The Heineken Mingle made a return to Impala Grounds.
This is the one sole event where beautiful ladies put their heels aside and hop into a game of ‘bladaa’ or soccer. Those with the vigor take on the rodeo bull on “who remains sited when the bull stops ridding;” while grown up men take on the speed mingling.

The event involved striking people, fashion, colors and breathtaking games such as rodeo bull. Revelers were treated to assorted barbecues and a great time with family, friends and new people over drinks.
Social in its nature, The Mingle opens up one to networking and meeting new people through play! And sticking to the trending world cup theme; another group of revelers enthusiastically chilled inside a tent catching the games at the Coca cola world cup viewing.

But what’s an event without music, fun and dancing? Well, Mc Fareed Khimani and his heavy-hitters team: Chris Bitok, DJ Nijo, DJ D-Lite and DJ Cheek-O all hyped the night as revelers partied the night away.
With June drawing to a close; the party revelers have their eyes now on next weekend’s Masaku Sevens.

NAIROBI’S SUPER BIKERS COME OUT TO RIDE

#BOYS & THEIR TOYS…

The month of May 2014 saw business come to a standstill along the busy Bunyala and Machakos road, when the big boys turned up in large numbers with their motorbikes on Sunday 18th may.
This was to facilitate the Superbike Championship practice race from 8am to 5pm. It was the Super Bikers invites only qualifying trial. Talk of speed and the risky of this event that saw the roads closed and local access maintained.

Sponsored by The Nairobian newspaper and General Motors, this year’s event attracted more participants and spectators compared to last year’s.
The event also saw world leading bike brands grace the occasion- from Yamaha to Suzuki, to Ducati, to BMW- you name it!
Last year, the event took place in Tatuu City road in Ruiru but was moved to Industrial Area this year; the finals at the same place on June 15th this year! Be there!
