DON’T MESS WITH KANSIIME DEBUTS ON CITIZEN-TV KENYA

#FILM REVIEW

Ugandans are here! The Nigerians landed earlier with their film imports and Kenyans went gaga. The Nigerian productions today have completely swept the Kenyan TV and entertainment industry.

And this week saw the Ugandans land here too! Anne Kansiime; with Don’t Mess with Kansiime has managed to export Uganda comedy around the world; and garnered thousands of views.

First thing first though: do not be fooled by Kansiime Anne. Her impish smile betrays an astute businesswoman and theatrical powerhouse. This writer; producer, stand-up comic and performer will leave you in stitches banange; holding your sides, wiping your eyes and asking for more!

With over 100,000 video views and still counting; Kansiime Anne is definitely far from uncomfortable in her power to tap funny bones and break glass ceilings
.
Her daily dose of laughter is maybe what we need now in Kenya with what is going on!

FINALLY AFRICA CAN “BOAST” OF “EXPORTING” SOMETHING TO CHINA

#ONLY IN AFRICA

Emperor Napoleon Bonaparte once remarked that china was a dormant giant and that when it awakes; the whole world will tremble. Well it turns out that those words were indeed not mere words uttered; but prophetic. With the dawn of this prophecy; china has indeed awoken and the effect reverberates across the world.

And now; after decades of tragically lopsided trade imbalance with Africa; china has finally and cruelly got one major “export” from the black continent-wait for it…yes; malaria!

After china flooding the African markets with cheap wares and grabbing big tenders in Kenya  and Africa at large; china’s influence on the region is fast-rising.

Some have argued about the trade imbalance in the involvement with the Chinese; saying they take away much more that they give. However; it now emerges that actually china is actually “importing “some stuff from Kenya.

The east African state is among 30 African countries “exporting” malaria to china and is now being blamed for threatening the Asian giant’s efforts to eliminate the disease.

The Asiatic state’s ministry of Health says Chinese laborers raveling back from African countries; including Kenya; are responsible for malaria surge in regions that had most eliminated the disease.
