KHALIGRAPH JONEZ DISSES OCTOPIZZO

Beef is RAW! And this is the new beef season. Forget the Octopizzo and Rabbit face-off; this si the real deal going down! This tome; to the left is heavyweight hardcore newcomer Khaligraph; on a battle to the right with Octo; the undisputable King of Number NANE.

KHALIGRAHP’S NEW TRACK; “I run #254” has been trending and receiving massive airplay in radio stations. The hardcore; hard hitting hate track is directed to Octopizzo and has elicited a lot of buzz on the social-media.

The buzz has got both fans and celebrities weighing in. here are some extracts from the exchanges:

v  @Tina Kaggia: that khaligraph diss track…heheheehe…hehehe..roho safi; he minced OCTOPIZZO on it! What!

v  @AdelleOnyango: now, I don’t usually do this.. buuh! Have you heard that diss track Khaligraph has done for octo.

v  @ArthurKwasky: @slaivaVic50 dissed Jah to get there; Biggie dissed pac; EM’ dissed Benzino; Kendrick dissed Draked…it’s hip-hop brah!

DUMBALA VIDEO TRENDS

After much talk and speculation; Jay A has gone ahead to incorporate several musicans in Dumbala remix. The video has been trending since its release this week.

But the remix has even created more buzz and curiosity among many fans on why the one person who gave the original hit its flavor did not feature in the remix. Sage’s absence has sparked a lot of speculation!

And last Thursday; another Grandpa Records crew Coola Gang launched their debut video under the stable; Songa at Club Sylk. Here are some of the behind the scenes of the launch plus the video…and behind the scenes Dumbala remix video shoot.

BLAQY’S “SHOW ME” TOO EXPLICIT FOR KENYAN TV

#music review
SONG: show me
Artist: Blaqy

No one had an idea about Blaqy; a new entrant into the local music scene but thanks to his latest music video Show Me; he has managed to create a big buzz for himself.

The somewhat controversial video exemplifies in excess nudity and erotic dance move scenes; note The Pulse Magazine. Scenes ranging from a swimming pool and car junk-yard; the skimpily dressed models rocking colorful bikinis briskly twerk throughout the video.

One thing is for sure; the video has an amazing quality with perfect camera work and transitions. The varied angles on the outdoors make the video interesting.

Blaqy debut music video now joins X-Pat Mkwanja’s Tear It Up controversial video…  and the videos!

TWERKING TO MADTRAXX GEUKA

#music review

ARTIST: madtraxx
SONG: geuka (raga/kapuka)

He burst into the limelight as one of Kenya’s first pioneer “Kenyan Crunk” with his high riding tune: “Boda-boda”.

Then from there, nothing could stop this chart-hitting rapper and producer as he went on to release more club banger hits: skamares; Kumerera; Ita waiter; Poa and Make you Dance; where he brought Uganda’s Keko on board and it was a hit!

But the latest that came out late last year- Geuka; got a lot of people talking on the social media. It even had a you-tube bedroom video of two girls twerking to Geuka.

The song’s teasing lyrics and message basically revolves on how men folk sometimes critically check out ladies. “You’ve got an okay face; ain’t nothing wrong with dat...so turn around…”

Add the Jamaican accent; Madtraxx aka Maddy delivers it pretty well. A remix with Wyre or better still; Kenrazy and Visita and DNA on this one would be killer!!!LEGOOO!!!

LEKA DU TI GITE VS. DUMBALA REMIX: WHICH WAS YOUR 2013 SONG?

#MUSIC REVIEW
When you team up Kenrazy; Visita and DNA; what you get is a club banger and that is what they did to Jay-A and Sage’s original “Dumbala”. To me it was an hit! A hit! A hit!

But my 2013 tune I must say came out way early in the year unlike Dumbala Remix that came late in the year. Produced by Judd Thomas; Le Ka Du Ti Gite”; by Kigoma All Stars from Tanzania was my club banger.

The tune brought together al the big names and the rising starts on the same platform al the way from the small town of Kigoma. From Recho to Abdu Kiba to Diamond Platinumz to Peter Msechu- the lineup was mad! But to me the gem is how they sang so lovingly and proudly about their town- so deeply; complete with addictive lines.

And with that I leave you with the two videos and plus one extra where Ney Wa Mitego  features Diamond-“Mziki Gani”..Mad chuunes!!!!

G-KON & CALVO MISTARI “VILE INAFAA KUFANYWA” VIDEO…

#music
Jomino Records are back on this great video under director VJ-One. The song’s video concept and creative direction is quite simple; revolving from shots on top of a truck to the two artists spitting with the background being of old Nairobi flats of an area either looks like Madaraka or California estate. Though one feels the director would have done justice and milked more of the shots.

The voice enhancement effects on the chorus is something new; but even new is that nobody expected Calvo Mistari’s wit while telling a story in Swahili and English plus a bit of sheng in a song. Kudos for the versatility man!

And since Calvo is still riding high with another video alongside Gaza and Bobby Mapesa; so here are the two videos back-to back. Enjoy! we couldn't get the video directly for "vile inafaa kufanywa (aje)" but here is the link-http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AxGW-PxXJUQ
