PETE’S COFFE HOUSE AT I-HUB KENYA

RESTAURANT REVIEWS…

“…Hey, wait a minute, we have Pete’s Coffee House back in the states,” my Nigerian friend based in California USA; but who was I n Nairobi for a short visit comments.
Then one of the I-hub techies answers her with a classic; “this is not just an ordinary Pete’s Coffee house! This is by our very own renowned coffee barrister, Pete owino.”

There are three things that any techpreneur starting out needs- oh make that 4; internet, space, people and yes a good cup of coffee. And there is a place in Nairobi where entrepreneurs in tech are going to find them: Silicon Avenue. Akin to the Silicon Valley in the U.S; this is a place that many Kenyan tech start-ups have started to call home. This would be the 2.5KM stretch along Ngong’ Road, which is seeing a lot of tech companies, hubs and start-ups setting up base. Here, tech companies are finding internet, space and people, plus good coffee and meals, the perfects recipe for the creation of a new enterprise.
But the recipe is not just on the techies business development but also on the culinary gem at I-hub-Pete’s Coffee House.

Over the years, beers wars have grabbed most of the headlines, but what you don’t hear much about are the coffee wars. Who’s the best, really? Artcaffe, Java, Dormans, Pete’s coffee. Everybody has his or her opinion-and loyalties. And the true answer to that question is not for this blog (at least, not today).
But when it comes to roasting coffee- Pete’s Coffee House are the experts. But they just don’t deal with coffee but their refreshed and flavored menu will take you on a great culinary trip.
If you love hot or cold beverages; sandwiches or anything on the go, then they have got you covered. Try Pete’s Coffee House-it is a sure unique destination.

# ZJ HENO SET TO RELEASE NEW RIDDIM/ SEPETUKA MUSIC FESTIVAL FOR NOVEMBER 2013 AND G-MONEY GROOVES TO NONINI’S OLD SKOOL TUNE

RIDDIM NATION

Happy Mahujaa Day! With Passionate Riddim and the Safari Riddim (not yet out) accolades to his name; this week on Monday; on a show with Della on Homeboyz Radio HBR 103.5, Zj Heno made the announcement of the release of yet another new riddim this week Tuesday- dubbed The Trinity Riddim. This will be his second official riddim out this year.

Revealing the riddim details that will be available on I-Tunes (https://itunes.apple.com/us/album/trinity-riddim/id726726186) soon, Zj Heno did  pin-point that the riddim will feature 3 artists from Kenya and 3 from Jamaica.
With Zj Heno, Kenya’s High Priest of reggae; you can never really pin-point who will be on the riddim because he always brings a surprise twist every time. But I am going with the riddim featuring Shamir from Kenya and Chronixx from Jamdown.

And sticking to that high note of music; Homeboyz Radio are back again this November, as they host the annual Sepetuka Music Festival. The event features non-stop line up of deejay works; both local and international acts as well as different stages with different music genres. From Dancehall, to hip hop, to trance, to house, to whatever you music taste buds are.
Finally, it is the trending YouTube video. Tallia on The Juice put G-Money on the spot to sing and old skool Nonini song. Let us say it is a G-mix you gotta listen to!
