MY DAY OUT WITH THE WORLD-CUP TROPHY

3 seconds! That’s all you had to pose with her! Her, whom, few have held, kissed and yet she has united nations. This past week, Thursday 28th November 2013; she did just that at the KICC. She united football fans once again for the 2nd time after her maiden appearance at Nairobi back in 2009.

Who is she you ask? She is the most coveted sports trophy in the world- the FIFA world cup trophy. And she was in Nairobi, not for the first time; but for the second time having made her maiden tour here way back in 2009 when I was still in high school.
This chance of a lifetime was engraved on the pictures of each fan that turned out to view the trophy. Coca-Cola, teaming up with Mo-Sounds later threw in a surprise concert featuring some of Kenya’s greatest music arts who shared the stage with other international superstars.

Under the hash tag #NITAATTEND; the trophy came at the right time; coinciding with Kenya’s 50-years of independence jubilee celebrations.
