The 2014 Spring Edition of Nairobi Fashion market (March 8th and 9th 2014) at the Ngon’g Racecourse grounds was a fabulous event! It boasted over 50 stalls with accessories, clothes, cosmetics and even hair if you wanted it. Kenyan designers at the fashion show included: Afrostreet Kollections,

Calvo Mistari drops behind the scenes drone shots for "Wanabonga”.

Calvo Mistari's new music video will see shots from a drone.

Mistari nowadays is doing less and less press, Instagram has provided a way for him to document his work as “Teammistari” .

The awful thing of it all is that you need to send him a request to follow him, as he is uncomfortable leaving his feeds open for public viewing. 

 The “Mwanaume ni efffort” rapper took to his instagram to share his new video scenes that’s were shot using a drone in Magadi.

JAMESON ST PATRICKS DAY 2014 AT THE CARNIVORE GROUNDS NAIROBI-THE PHOTOS

Last Saturday was st Patrick ’s Day and a big party went down at the #254. The venue? Carnivore Restaurant. It began at 7pm and Jameson were the organizers behind it.

In line with the Irish spirit; they flew in New York’s DJ Kid Capri and South Africa’s DJ Milkshake. Other local acts performances include DJ Andre and madtraxx.

TEN CITIES IN NAIROBI 2014: URBAN AFRICAN MUSIC GENRES CONVERGE

For 5 days last week,  a select group of artists from four African countries assembled fro an experimental project mooted to celebrate the diversity of modern global urban music at the Nairobi Goethe Institute.

The vent was a follow up to a similar one held last year in April; which brought together artistes from 10 cities in Africa and Europe.

This year saw Just a Band from Nairobi; Afrologic from Lagos; DJ Satellite from Luanda and Trust The DJ from Johannesburg. Together, they undertook a journey through all genres in urban African music- kuduro, kwaito, afro-beat, dub and others.
