WHY YOU CAN’T AFFORD TO MISS THE RE-RUN FOR THE PLAY PLAN B-THE MUSICAL…

a
s Nairobi’s middle class expands, the city’s cultural palate has become more discerning. It used to be that a dose of culture over the weekend consisted of a drive-out of town and an afternoon of beer and nyama choma  accompanied by premier League football- mind you that is English Premier League; at a local bar or joint, over drinks, Congolese music and heated discussions about politics.

The more discerning would find time during the week for a play at the National Theatre, or, before cheap pirated DVDS and cheap laptops; a Hollywood movie downtown.

But a group of young theatre lovers is bringing the love for drama and live plays in Nairobi. Two of Kenya’s visioned groups; Liquid Arts Entertainment and Rekindle Flame have teamed up together to tackle the pertinent issue of infidelity on marriages.

Using two of the world’s most powerful medium; music and visual arts, they hope to spread a positive message to many through their musical play.

PLAN B takes the fight against infidelity on stage. Small things matter in marriage. If partners can commit, then they would never have plans aside or get tired of their relationship.

It is a play that touches on real life situations in Kenya- and the director reckons; “we believe this is a timely play especially considering the rising cases of infidelity in families.”

What do you get when a theatrical group; Liquid Arts and a vibrant Band; Rekindleflame join forces? I tell you what you get- you get an unforgettable musical play!

Why don’t you make a date; and don’t be late!

The play will be staged at the Kenya National Theatre (K.N.T); Ukumbi Mdogo. The dates are September 20th-22nd; 2pm to 6pm. The tickets go for 300/= advance and 300/= at the gate.
