Narrow escape for Prezzo

the nation reports...

PHOTO | COURTESY Goldie from Nigeria and Prezzo from Kenya.

Kenya's contestant in the Big Brother Africa Stargame, Prezzo, escaped eviction during the Sunday Live eviction show. However, his girlfriend, Goldie, from Nigeria, was sent home in a night of anxiety for Kenyan reality show lovers.

The show's host IK first told Kyle and Lady May that they were safe and was left with Prezzo and Goldie. He asked the two love birds if they would give up the show for each other. Both answered in the affirmative. However, voters in Africa had decided that Goldie was the better sacrifice.
While on stage Goldie was satisfied with her performance and said she had done her best in the house. "Nobody should look at me as a disappointment to my country, I did my best to represent it fully," she said.
A Kenyan now has a possible chance of bagging the $300,000 (Sh25 million) ultimate prize, since Prezzo and Alex are still in the house. Last week, one of Kenya's contestants, Malonza, was evicted.

True true. Where is the world coming to? We are copying anything and everything Americans do, we even have halloween, mothers days, fathers day, valentines day now days. What happened to just being human beings who do the right things for and to each other? Whats the idea behind big brother show?

And what do you mean with doing the right things??what is the wrong thing here with the show??

Useless, but fun all the same. Look at the way we tune in to the News Hour at 9pm every day and at the end we say the same word, useless...Bring back the mulla, Prezzo!

I wish both Prezo and Goldie the best. But the idea of Kenyans blindly acting as copy cats is irritating, especially if it is true that they celebrate halloween. In America, halloween has a significant history that they relate with. How do Kenyans relate to a tradition and culture that is not part of their history. How on earth do people who celebrate halloween in Kenya explain it, especially to their children? We do not want to submit ourselves to distortion. Americans for one can not lend themselves to create a holiday for tero buru for example. It can not just happen. So why should Kenyans subsribe to halloween? on what historical criteria? on what cultural basis?

That is courage, they would have given the show for each other. That is true friendship. All the best Goldie, and good luck Prezzo.

                            http://bigbrotherafrica.com/23349/ the website reports...

Kenyan celebrity rapper, CMB Prezzo has made it to the finals of Africa’s biggest reality TV show, Big Brother Africa.
Prezzo becomes the first Kenyan to make it to the show’s finals and is clearly running to win the $300,000 jackpot after he survived a fourth eviction nomination on Sunday night.
Another East African, Kyle from Uganda is also in the finals.
Prezzo and Namibian Lady May were the only surviving celebrities in the house and were nominated for eviction alongside Uganda’s Kyle and Janette.  Jannette was evicted on Sunday.
The other two Kenyans who were in the show, Alex and Malonza, were evicted.
Earlier on Sunday during the nomination diary session, Prezzo told Big Brother that he was proud to have made it to the final week.
He said that he was proud of carrying Kenya’s flag even higher and that it would be a blessing for him to reach the finals.
Six contestants now remain in the house. They are Prezzo, Kyle, Lady May, Keagan from South Africa and Zambia’s Talia.
