- Adan2012African gov't hands are tied when attempting to invest money either in their agriculture sector or any sector the IMF deems not good enough.African borders were drawn such that states are never big enough to be economically viable and the fact that they duplicate administrative and military resources means that they forever remain utterly dependent on those who drew its borders...Western and China's industries were seeded by respective governments in a fanatic push to become competitive with the rest of the world and push for self-reliance.Consider this, there are a lot of idle young men with brilliant minds in Africa. Why do leaders fail to build the institution and culture of research and development and help seed industries.....rather than buying old generation military hardware and end up paying for their spare parts for decades to come.Imagine something like this?Kenya Anti-Aircraft Missiles Research Institute (KAMRI) - Making breakthrough in missiles technology, building state of the art hardware and software, investing in super computers that allows Kenyan engineers to fully build & test these systems in a virtual universe before assembly??.. Systems that can take on the best fighter jets in the world and showcased at international airshows...and bought by wealthy countries...creating jobs and development...WHY DO OUR AFRICANS LEADERS LACK BIG DREAMS AND VISION?WE NEED LESS LEADERS LIKE MOBUTU (A THUG) AND MORE MAU LIKE VISIONARIES...WHO PROPEL OUR CONTINENT TO SELF RELIANCE AND TO UPHOLD THE DIGNITY OF ITS PEOPLE.

The guy is the best investigative journalist Kenya has ever had. At this rate this award is just a token award done to pander to some western-centric ideas of depicting Africa.
